NEVERMORE Guitarist To Guest On KEITH MERROW Album

December 14, 2010

Guitarist Jeff Loomis of Seattle, Washington metallers NEVERMORE has recorded a guest appearance on the new album from the Portland, Oregon studio musician Keith Merrow. The 10-song CD is tentatively due sometime in 2011.

Video footage of Loomis in the studio laying down his track can be viewed below.

According to his official bio, Merrow's extreme style of guitar playing is a unique blend of traditional metal with a dash of obscurity. In May of 2009, he released a self-produced EP titled "Lonestar Transcend". The six-song instrumental boasts some of the most catchy chops heard by an independent artist to date. This EP is a compilation of songs that were first heard on Merrow's YouTube page, where he posted play-through videos of the songs. After receiving several requests from friends and fans, he put together the "Lonestar Transcend" EP and released it to the public for free to anyone interested in his music. Just six months later in November of 2009 came "The Arrival", which marked his first album that he has written from start to finish, for the sole purpose of releasing a completed album to the public.
